Our Founder
Dr. Khazana Sihwaya
Founder | Executive Director
Khazana is the Founder and Executive Director of the 2030 Nutrition Project. She is a One Young World Ambassador and alumni of the Study of the United States Institute for Young Women Leaders at University of Delaware. In 2019, she was enlisted by USAID as one of the Zambian curators for Youth Lead- a program designed for young changemakers making a positive impact in their community through service, activism, advocacy, education, and entrepreneurship..

Charlotte Mwanza
Charlotte Mwanza holds a diploma in clinical medicine from Eden University in Lusaka. As a registered clinical officer professional, she brings to the team strong clinical skills. She has also received professional training in HIV Management and Prevention.

Duduzile Sinala
Duduzile Sinala holds a diploma in clinical medicine from Eden University. She has an interest in supporting adolescents toward living healthier and happy lifestyles. Her experience in community health promotion makes her a great addition to the team.

Aka Kandepwe
Aka Kandepwe brings to the team astute skills in finance and accounting. Her role focuses on programs and operational support to ensure that the 2030 Nutrition Project is self-sustaining and has operation efficiency. She attends the University of Lusaka where she's completing a degree in accounting and finance. Aka is also a Nutrition Ambassador at the 2030 Nutrition Project.

Dr. Melanie Bean
ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR, CO-DIRECTOR - HEALTHY LIFESTYLES CENTER, CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL OF RICHMOND AT VIRGINIA COMMONWEALTH UNIVERSITY
Dr. Bean is associate professor in the Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism and co-Director of the Healthy Lifestyle Center, CHoR's comprehensive pediatric obesity treatment and research center. She received her PhD in counseling psychology from VCU and completed her pre-doctoral internship training at the New Mexico Veterans Affairs Hospital and the Indian Health Services in Albuquerque, NM. She joined CHoR in 2008 and has focused on developing and implementing strategies to facilitate health behavior changes and reduce disease risk among high-risk populations. She has clinical and research expertise in motivational interviewing and is a member of MINT, the international network of motivational interviewing trainers. She is licensed by the Virginia Board of Psychology in clinical psychology and is an active member of the Society of Behavioral Medicine and The Obesity Society.

Brighton Mukupa Kaoma
GLOBAL DIRECTOR, UN SDSN YOUTH
Brighton is the global director for youth programs at the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network( UN SDSN) in New York. He was in 2015 awarded by HM Queen Elizabeth II at the Buckingham Palace for demonstrating leadership and innovation in sustainable development and youth empowerment. He holds the Masters of Public Administration(MPA) in Environmental Science and Policy from Columbia University in New York City. Brighton sits on the boards of the International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Reverse the Red Program as well as the Radio Workshop (Childrens Radio Foundation) of South Africa. Prior to joining the UN systems, he worked for WWF International and as an International Sustainable Development Consultant to governments and corporations in over 22 countries across six continents. He’s a One Young World Ambassador, Oustanding Young Persons awardee from JCI and Emperor of Japan, and a 2016 WWF International Presidents’ Awardee. He has contributed to National Geographic, BBC, Vogue, Vanity Fair, and The Guardian Magazine.
